I picked up my first Focus
After some money saving and searching, I bought my first focus this week. A 2005 SE with 74k miles in excellent shape...........Then I bought a second one. haha


The wife loved the Focus I bought for me to drive earlier in the week, so she went out on the internet to search for another one for her. Yesterday she found a local guy that had a 2007 SES with a manual transmission and 106K miles for sale and wanted to trade for a Jeep.......I just happened to have a lifted jeep with a lot of work done to it that I was now looking to sell and we made a trade.


I have a feeling I will be spending a LOT more time around this place.

Good luck! I am curious since I did the same thing. if you don't mind me asking. Why did you trade the Jeep for a Focus?

I have had the Jeep since 2007 and dumped tons of money into it with a lift, tires, bumpers, ect......only to go out and break parts off-roading it and spending more money. I also was using the Jeep as my DD most days since I owned it.

In Michigan I could take the Jeep out and play many places near my house. Now that I am in metro ATL there are not many places close by to use the Jeep off-road and I was only getting around 12MPG in traffic here.

The Jeep also had 177K miles on it vs the 106K on the Focus.

Mine was an 04 but stock with 55K. It to was my DD and I was getting only 14MPG. The gas was killing me when I bought my house. So I traded it for the Focus. I still miss it very much,and the transition was difficult for a long time.

Here are a couple pics of the new rides.






The silver is a 2005 and the Grey is a 2007.
I am not too fond of the looks of the body kit and grille on the 2007. I may try to find a stock set of bumpers and get rid of the ones on it now.
