I removed the fans to make room and slid the heat shield out as one piece. Just wanted to have an intact heat shield around for some reason.

Don't see why that would rub, that's an overall diameter of 24.9 inches which is only .3 inches bigger overall diameter than the 24.6 of the stock svt tires. (215/45R17.)
