It's not just the salesmen that are like that. In my experience, the service writers and techs don't know anything about their products, either. (Least of all how to fix them!)

I tried to register twice over the last two days and got nothing but an error message each time. I would love to share my ideas, but I also think any reasonable ideas on here or recurring problems not already noted should be forwarded to those who can do something about it, if it has been noticed or brought to the attention of one of the Ford Customer Service folks that cruise these forums. Trust me, I understand bureaucracy, I work for the government.

With luck '12 owners will get retrofitted with the updated equipment. Or at least as units come in, as opposed to a complete recall...

My DCT runs nicely, save for "the noise" which - either which way - is normal. Most of the time it can't be heard, so I treat it as a non-issue. If something happens, it does - until then, no problem. And even with "the noise", the transmission is smooth as silk - still the best I've ever driven, noise or not.

I do wonder, for those who claim there are no problems, do they even know what "the noise" is? I've had passengers who've not heard "the noise" at all...

Well...

On one hand I do appreciate professionalism but I also believe that one would be better off to thoroughly do their homework before walking into a car dealership.

I finally got a tank full of 87 yesterday that did make the car run like crap - hesitation poor MPG, etc. People having trouble with 87, I woukd say try filling up at a different station becuase apparently not all 87 is equal or not ot all 87 is really 87.

Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 using FF Mobile.

To be fair to caresalesman I wouldn't expect them to know more than an enthisuast and remember a salesman is just that and alot move from dealership to dealership and brand to brand. I do however expect them to know the basics and the important features and we were fortunate with our salesman as he had worked for the same Ford dealer for over 15 years and he knew Fords.
