Get real. I bought a brand new car so that I'd have reliable transportation, not leave it parked at a dealership while they scratch their heads trying to find out which bad component needs to be replaced every other week or two weeks.

Sorry to learn that you are having problems. Neither of our Foci has a problem. Both are excellent. Is that real enough for you?

Real enough to demonstrate a lack of consistency in build quality, which would definitely dissuade me from any future Ford purchases or recommendations to others to purchase one. When were yours built?

My wife's Ti was built August 9 of 2011; my ST was built November 30, 2012.

So then in March of 2012, when mine was built, the QA folks might have been on vacation.

OBVIOUSLY ill-fitting interior A-pillar trim bezel
Removable temporary protective plastic cover for stereo screen left on at factory when it should have been removed prior to assembly of the dashboard trim bezel.
Wrinkles in rear seat fabric that cannot be removed from being sewn incorrectly.
Rear hatch side trim panel not completely snapped in place.
Paint chips on edges
Leaking rear hatch seal
Rattling rear hatch interior trim panel from mis-fit
Transmission trouble
Multiple prematurely failing suspension components

I don't understand why there is always so much tension between users that have perfectly working / defective vehicles.

I mean... sure, I'm pissed that my $26k car rattles and the drive train vibrates and makes weird knocking noises, but I'm not going to say that the Focus has the best (or worst) quality control based off an internet forum (which, btw is obviously biased towards users with defective parts).

I will admit, that there was an unusually high amount of DCT and MFT issues that would lead us to believe there are design flaws. We know that. The clutch and seal have both already been revised once. MFT has had multiple updates. Headliners in 2013s have more dual-locking 3M strips (I checked, it had at least 1 more around the moonroof than mine did.)

I also get that you don't want to see every thread turn into an argument, but this thread was about a car with suspension issues, so there were bound to be complaints... but there's also too much damn hostility.

Lemon it, submit cases to nhtsa.gov or BBB's autoline, sell it, trade it, fix it yourself, etc. But complaining on these forums isn't helping anyone unless you found a fix and you're sharing it with everyone else.

Just to name a few...

Your first 5 complaints are relatively minor (still annoying, yes), and should have been picked up by your dealer during PDI, before you even saw the car. Your dealership has to wear some of that.
The remaining complaints have been discusses on here in multiple threads and there IS fixes for them. Not dismissing your complaints, but, a new thread started for them was not really needed... but, hey, its the MKIII section, it seems to be the "flavor of the day". LOL. carry on.

Right...it's just as simple as all of those wonderful suggestions.

Listen. I already stated that I was looking for dialogue about the specific issue. It is partly complaining, but it is also looking for others' potential solutions. That is what this board is for. Even if it were merely complaining only, that is what people do when very expensive things don't work as they should or as advertised. If you don't want to read that kind of stuff, you probably shouldn't hang around on any forum that relates to cars and their warranties and then be complaining about it...

Oh...right....there's a new thread about something that relates to other posts on the forum, so surely the person who created the new thread didn't think to search the forum for quite a while and discover that none of those threads had anything to offer...no...that couldn't happen.

Look, if you're going to whine about the subject matter of the thread then don't bother posting on it. In doing so, you're not any different than anyone you're complaining about.

Those weren't complaints. Those were part of a list of specific things that were outlined to elaborate on the point I stated at the beginning of the post you quoted. Try to keep everything in context next time before pretending that you're in some teaching moment about the complex world of car trouble because you mistake the stranger you're talking to as someone without any background on the subject, eh?
