Yup. I went out and bought a 16gb flash drive for it thinking it was going to be a lot bigger

So after a couple of minutes installing the update, I get the following message:

"Sync has lost connection to your usb storage device... etc etc" And now the install process is stuck. I tried all kinds of things but the car won't read the upgrade files anymore and it just presents that message. I tried different USB drives and even an SD card.

This shouldn't be this difficult. And my field of work is IT. Agh.

Anyone experienced this?

That's what I'm trying to do now. I've never done a fuse pull before. Reading how to do it -- do I need to use a tool to pull the fuse or is it easy with your fingers?

EDIT: I can't seem to pull the fuse using my fingers. What do you guys use?

EDIT 2: So I found a fuse puller in the engine fuse box and was able to do it. MFT recovered, and I followed with a Master Reset from the Settings menu (wouldn't hurt). The USB drive was recognized and it's in the process of updating. Crossing my fingers...

There is a fuse puller underneath the lid for the fuse box inside the engine compartment on the left front (on the right from standing in front of the car) in front of the battery.

I can usually use my fingers to do it or I just use needle nose pliers I honestly don't even know where the interior fuse box is in my car. I know the engine one and the one in the hatch.
