If only I could vote, I would vote that I'm not satisfied.

A brand new car, making some weird noises under the hood while I'm driving, doesn't make me feel confident!

And I decided to buy a Ford to support an American company, should have bought a Honda!

What is wrong with your Focus? We have two and both are terrific cars. I would never even look at a Honda.

We are extremely satisfied. My wife drives a 12 Ti and I drive a 13 ST.

"Only 9"?! LOL

A 20% problem rate is absolutely terrible.

Read his post again. He very clearly stated that it makes noises that undermine his confidence in the car.

Any car from any company can have problems.

Only when problems are repeatable in the same model do serious concerns arise.

I've had my car for almost a year and have almost 5000 miles on it. The noise is there, quantifiable (after the car has ran for a while and in typically warmer weather), but ever since 12B37 the car has been a total dream, even if "the noise" is still occasionally present.

Time will tell.

9 of 45 people in a poll doesn't make for the most conclusive or reliable of polls, unfortunately...

I very clearly understood what he said. He did not provide adequate information.

My 67 Plymouth makes noises too. But, I have learned what they are and why they are.

I completely agree... which is why I took issue with the word 'only', which is intended to minimize the results.

You are correct, of course. People reporting problems are speaking from ignorance and they should learn more about their car.

Might be telling that every major magazine has called out the DCT as well, car & driver going so far as to say the best non-rs focus is a 5 speed non MFT car.

Understanding aberrant noises is part of the 1967 Plymouth ownership experience. One would hope a 2012 Ford would be different.
