Vehicle Health Submit Over WiFi (2013)
Got a 2013 ford focus. Love it.

Was curious if the focus has a wifi in it why it can't submit a vehicle health report every time my car turns on at home (so when I am about to leave or right as I get home) by using wifi. Seems it be easy enough to take that data and even the OBC status and send to syncmyride.com. Then I could monitor my car via a website or even my phone.

Last I checked, it doesn't submit via WiFi nor does the car have WiFi. It actually uses your phone, it dials a number. Just like Ford Sync Services.

It does have wifi (I can see my home network) but have no idea what for. Too bad it doesn't send over wifi. Seems like it would make way more sense.

more easier way is buy a OBD-II scanner with WiFi output and u can check in ur smartphone or computer anytime you want.

Of course is real time info :)

I have not figured out what purposes the wifi serves either. I connect to a WAP, but that is it. The MFT does not appear to send or receive any data over the conection.
