Replaced seat, now I have no airbag :(
I have a 2003 ZX3 and the back on the drivers seat gave out so I went to the salvage yard, pulled one out of a 2000 ZX3 and popped it into mine. Olny problem is that now the seat-belt sensor doesn't work and my airbag light is on. Is there anyway I could rig the wiring to fool the car that I always have my seat belt on, I do, and that I'm also in the drivers seat. I'm the only one that drives the car, and I'll be driving it into the ground.

Did you swap the '03 seat belt buckle onto the new '00 seat? That needs to be done, so that all components of the SRS are from the same model year? Also, if your '03 had side (seat) airbags, the replacement seat will need to have those '03 airbags installed into it. It is also possible that your '03 seat track had a seat position sensor, and the '00 seat track doesn't. Good luck.

You have to replace the belt buckle. If the air bags on the salvage car were deployed the sensor is already use/bad, so is just an easy swap.
