Yet. You mean it hasn't let you down yet.

I'm just teasing. It's good to know that your car has held up. Hopefully that trend will continue.

This is absolutely true. We have no way of knowing how many cars have been impacted with DCT problems. When you read the forums, the sense one gets is that the majority of cars have issues, but I do not beleive that to be the case. Still...problems do exist, we just can't get a sense of how many.

My 2012 SEL with DCT and MFT currently has around 15,000 miles on her and has not been in to the shop for anything other than oil changes.

Runs perfectly and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

What do you mean by steering wheel delaminated? The only issue I have noticed so far with my Focus is that the Ford logo on the steering wheel has some deterioration on it or something. It's under the rubber of the logo so I can't get to it and I don't know what's causing it. Is that what you meant?

Probably referring to the silver over the plastic around the steering wheel controls (surrounding the horn). There have been reports of a few peeling and leaving sharp edges which could cut peoople's hands, although that's not that wide spread.

There are not that many. Some time ago there was a poll posted asking people to make their choice regarding DCT (bad, worst, good, great) if I remember, and despite the "loud crowd" we see here, the reality was not that bad in that poll. Maybe I am mistaken, and I might start a new poll about the DCT. But it seems I can't do it (or I don't know how to do it).
I have my FF with DCT and it is a great little car. I love it especially when accelerating beyond 30 mph. It is soooo fun to just push the gas pedal and go over 80 mph in moments. LOVE IT ! And yes, I have 35 000 km in my FF (august 2012 built) and I can't stop myself to look for any occasions to get into it and just drive it.

This is exactly what's happened in mine. Nothing a little fine grit and touch up paint can't cure.

I'd keep it that way if I were you.

Every time I let the dealership 'repair' my car, they give it back with new problems.
