There are a few places that sell V8 conversions (or used to). ATI had a nice turnkey one with the drivetrain and a 450 hp supercharged V8 from a Cobra Mustang for $65,000.

That depends on what state you live in. It has a vin number. So here in Oklahoma, where we don't have inspections or emissions testing, you apply for a lost or rebuilt title with the vin number. Then you have yourself a street legal V8 focus.
