Gotcha. Im wiring the switch power to an ignition source power in the fuse box with an add a fuse. I dont trust putting any extra load on anything that goes through the BCM. My power wire from my relay is already wired directly to the battery. I know they will be on with my high beams but so be it. So, the only way to get the green wire through the firewall Im guessing is on the passenger side through where the main harness passes correct?

One more update. I went all out on the switch as well. Picked up a black plasmaglow activator switch which lights up blue. I need some suggestions on a place to mount it. I believe its only an inch in diameter.

Heres a pic of 3 of the stainless colored switches mounted in a jeep.

I'd flush mount next to the headlight switch.

I want to drill a hole on a panel thats replaceable and not the dash itself. I was thinking about the black plastic area that surrounds the headlight switch. Either that or the raised area around the shifter toward the pass side.

I'd go with the part around the switch personally, though my mustang fog switch is oem and its behind my shifter.

from inside the car, the only 2 fuses in the BCM fuseblock that are hot with Key on are fuses F85 and F86... 85 is a 7.5 amp fuse and 86 is a 10 amp fuse..

85 drives the heated seat switches, HVAC module in standard system, and Temp/Humidity sensor in Dual side Auto system

86 drives the airbag system... and pass airbag off light.

All other key on fuses are under the hood...

Trim rings from china came today. Good quality. Took about 2 weeks to arrive. They are stamped with ford logos and part numbers not that that means anything from china.

Finished installing my foglights. Kind of a PITA but I think it turned out great.

First 2 is the button switch mounting location. This is the only place I found on this trim piece to mount it where there was enough room behind it for the switch and wiring. I wanted the switch mounted on a removable trim piece in case I ever wanna go back to stock, I could just replace that piece. Kinda nice too because the Ebrake handle blocks the light at night from shining in my eyes. These switches are awesome and worth every penny.

If you look at the bolt to the right of the gas pedal, you can see where I found a good ground for the switch. Easy to get to as well.

Front shot. Its amazing how much salt Mayland uses on their roads. I washed it off when I was done. Didnt want to lay on a wet floor. Black bezels are from China and are as good a quality as the covers I took off. Plus they are only around 20 bucks shipped. Only issue is they take 2 weeks to get. Im on the east coast. Farther west may take longer.

Heres where I mounted the Relay. Great place as its out of the elements and easy to get to. Plus theres a ground right beside it. The green wire running around the fusebox is the wire that goes to the switch. I extended it with black wire. You can see it zip tied to the loom of wires on the firewall in the next pic.. I had to run it to the pass side and make a small hole in the rubber grommet around where the loom goes through the firewall into the cabin. I put the in line fuse for the relay in the battery box.

Power for the switch I didnt take pics of but its been covered before on here. Under the glovebox, I used an add a fuse in a 10 amp fuse slot controlled by the ignition. Far right row, 4th fuse space from the bottom.
