Your spoiled. I think the 3D guy at the studio I work at is spoiled lol.
He requested for a faster computer and got it. They gave him a 12-core 3.2 i7 MacPro, 12 gigs of Ram DDR3 if I believe, the Nvidia quad monitor 2GB graphics card and 2 250 GB SS drives in the computer with another 4 TBs of storage Raid. Sheesh. The rest of our graphics and photo team were all jealous of him. Of course we can't complain to much, we are all running 8-core systems ourselves and they work just fine for the things we do. Ray

Hey peeps, Ive been messing with my brothers d3000 and Ive come to love the pics it produces.. then again in comparison to my point and shoot L105 anything looks good..
So I came across a deal that my bro sent me and i took the plunge and bought a nikon d3100. Ive been told its a decent beginners camera and im hoping to learn a lot from you peeps. I should be getting it by monday, I also have a MacPro quad core that ill be editing from. My brother has a recording studio and he upgraded to the 12 core and gave me this quad for pennies on the dollar..

Definitely a good starter DSLR.
BUT DAMN YOU ON THAT DEAL OF THE MACPRO!!! J/K.  That is definitely one workhorse machine. Good to have family that is willing to pass down their high end stuff. Ray

lol thanks Im so stoked I want the camera now.. buttt it should be here by monday.
Yeah I was stoked for the mac.. especially since I only paid 400 bucks for it lolol and well i had to buy another hard drive cause he needed some stuff that he had on it. so i bought a 1 tb should be here next week as well.. im stoked.. i told him whenever you feel the need to get rid of the 12 core... think of me lol his studio is dope tho.. this is where i spent most of my time during the summer besides cars music is my second love.. ive slept here just messing around.. ]

Enjoy it ... it's a great camera.
And utilize the Continuous focus function. Great for take photos of race cars or fast sports and not just snapping away to get focus to react. Ray
