Tires

What size tires do you guys recommend I use on 18" wheels. I really don't want a rubbing problem. The car is also staying stock height, btw, if that matters. Thank you(:

It depends on what the width of the wheel you're getting is as well as your intended use for them (all seasons, summer only, auto cross, etc.). Do you a specific set in mind?

They're probably going to be all season because here in South Louisiana we really don't have to worry about snow lol. So they'll be on year round and won't specifically be or summer or winter.

I like those, they look good. Those are 8" wide so a 235 is the minimum width that I would go with especially for rim protection. So 235/40R18 which is the stock size in the Ti handling pack. I just went with 245/40R18 which I like better.

If I were you, and living that far south I would get a "summer only" tire. Better performance, better grip, decreased braking distance, better wet handling. Just find one with a 30-40,000 mi warranty.

So 245/40R18 would be better? Would you mind posting pics of your car so maybe I can get an idea of how that looks? Lol
And I'll have to look into summer only tires since the weather here is pretty much summer-like year round.

The 245 is more rubber on the road. They also had more rim protector overlap and a little taller sidewall to fill the wheel well better.







These are A/S for the super mild winters in OK. Back to summer tires come March-April for me.

I'm not saying that 245 is better per say...just that I prefer them to the 235.

Well I believe you've just helped me decide. I think I'll go with 245. Car looks great, by the way. Love love love that color.
