This was made by the Microsoft marketing department in '05 to highlight the differences between Apple and Microsoft.

I know the volume does not seem to make any sense. BTW have you tried the software that will report back to the Sync website which version of the sync software you have? I tried it and am not sure if it worked or not.

Oh, also I changed my oil yesterday and I reset the oil life monitor, have you ever done that? You just depress both the brake and accelerator and a dialogue pops up on the driver screen, problem is there is nothing in the dialogue that tells you to wait what seemed like over a minute. I kept stopping thinking it had taken the reset. Finally I thought what if I hold it forever will the dialogue change. Sure enough it finally said 'reset complete' or something to that effect.

That is my issue with the Sync, there is not much feedback over what it is doing nor what you should do.

Eventually you will get used to it. I have had the car for over a week now so I am figuring out how to navigate it and learning the idiosyncrasies. But still I wish it was more elagent.

On one hand... having specs, system requirements, endorsements, and extra information is a good thing, it's nice to be able to read the box and actually get some information.

On the other hand... Apple's packaging is always first rate and is always a joy to open, which some people may find ridiculous, but I've always enjoyed it.

That said... they don't put ANY info on them. It's the bare minimum.

Also, if MS really made that video... then it was as funny as it was demeaning for them.

It was never meant to get out, it was made by some frustrated people that were trying to get the company to change its point of view.

Ahhhh, makes much more sense then, haha. Awesome. They did take it to heart though. They still put a lot more info on their packaging but it's very presentable now and still can be considered minimalist. The packaging for the Surface is pretty slick. Definitely cooler than the iPad boxes.

It's only for mobile software that would connect to the car via Applink, and at the moment the only Foci that this would work for are the 2013 base sync radio models, none of the 2012s as they don't have applink, and no MFT equipped vehicle.
