Because this is just another boring ecobox..... NOT!

I ordered what I wanted and didn't settle for less, why should you unless you're too cheap and decide to take whatever they don't want to own anymore.
Thats what I had to do, Special Order just o have the Stick in my optioned out SE-Sport

Well , actually they had the HB SE but I eliminated it. I only dislike the wheels of SFE, other than that I'm not looking for any luxury options...just the wheels. I will drive this vehicle 80 miles a day/5 days+ weekend.
If your only concern is the wheels, and like the rest of the car, then you made a good choice. You got a great deal for the options (minimum options) that you wanted.

Everyone here is saying they would have gone with the SE for more options, but you clearly stated numerous times how you did not want any of those options...so, you made a good choice going with the SFE then. The best part is you have rear disc brakes, which some of these members do not even have on their more expensive SE. Yes, they have more "toys" but not what really matters in my opinion- disc brakes over drums in the rear.

You can always pick up new wheels later, or just get new wheel covers.

Enjoy the focus, and cross your fingers for it to be a trouble free experience.

Also, i have not driven that specific vehicle yet. Do 2013s still have transmission problems?
It seems that the 2013s are better, but issues are still there. The real issue is the Ford dealer network which has been, and probably continues to be, spectacularly unprepared to deal with DCT issues (aided by Ford of course, which hasn't been a lot of help). If the transmission falls out of the car, the dealer can handle it. If it's a driveability issue (shudders, grinding, et al) you are likely hear: "It's normal" or "could not duplicate". In others words, you're doomed. On the bright side, odds are pretty high you'll get a good one. Are the odds of getting a "good" transmission as high as they are for a Civic, Corolla, Imprezza, etc? Of course not.

I say go for the sfe. I just special ordered one and while im waiting for delivery i ordered wheels and tires. You get a great price and four wheel disc brakes. it looks sporty too cause it comes with the spoiler and has all the standard se features that count. im sure you will love the car.

I would not buy the SFE if only because the tires are a safety concern in my view.
Skinny eco-tires increase braking distance and offer almost zero grip in emergency maneuvers.

Well, when he swaps wheels he can put some good rubber on too.

The SFE option is only $95 now. I'd probably pay that just to get the rear discs. With your commute, you'll probably recoup the cost via fuel savings within a year.

The only downside is nobody is going to see the rear brakes with those wheel covers.
