2012 Focus - Aftermarket Stereo possibilities.

After asking them if my replacement had shipped, I got this response.

Steer clear of the Movewell. I still have not received my refund. I will contact amazon this morning and I'm sure they will make it right.

Back to the drawing board. I'm debating on buying another one of these same style units or going with the metra kit. I just think these Chinese units look much more OEM then the metra kit does. Plus $$$.

Additionally, I fear the compatibility of these Chinese units(like the movewell) with our US spec focus'. With them not working. Everyone I have heard of running them successfully has euro focus'. . .

That is very disappointing to hear...I totally agree with you on the metra unit, it can't look any farther from OEM than anything i've seen.

Don't worry, I have not given up. I WILL be buying an aftermarket replacement. I don't mind being the Ginnypig as long as one of them works.

I was going to wait for a big reveal once I made my install thread but since you asked. . .



I have the stock six speaker system with two 12" kicker comp subs. And I have a cheap 1000 watt power bank amp the subs are probably underpowered but they hit way harder than I need them too so I'm happy. Although I have yet to hear them in the mk3 focus because my head unit was a flop. They sounded great in my mk1 zx3 focus though.

I may eventually upgrade my factory speakers but I have higher priority mods on my radar first.
