Road racing slicks as drag slicks

Can some one tell me if it's there a lot of difference between road racing slicks and drag slicks, I came across over some hossier r80 very cheap thanks in advance guys

Yes, big difference, but it might not matter one bit for your application.

Both are softer and stickier on the contact patch, but vastly different rubber compounds.

Drag slicks are made to have the sidewall absorb some shock.
Drag radials are more popular nowadays, and they have stiffer sidewalls.
Road racing tires are made with stiff sidewalls for cornering.


also: used or old racing tires are worthless, they get hard and lose their grip just from sitting around too long
