CAI for 2013 SE 4dr DCT
Hey guys, I want to get a CAI upgrade mod for my 2013 SE 4dr DCT. It has no other performance upgrades yet.
Can anyone recommend one that is best for the DCT? Thanks a lot!

Get a K & N drop-in and delete the snorkel. Close to the same gains as a SRI.

but an air intake can still be done right? Gandalfthegreyfocus suggested a 2012 Steeda CAI w/ heatshield... will that work fine on 2013?

Yes, of course. But I would try the drop in and snorkel delete. Dyno numbers show it is VERY close to the same gains and hundreds if doars cheaper. But your car, your money.

got the Steeda CAI. It sounds great, although I've heard a few weird noises, kind of like rattleing, but i'm not sure if that's normal.
It took us almost 2 hours to get it in with a bit of trouble in some places. The weather stripping kept sliding off when we pushed the assembly in the space so there is no way to seal it off perfectly, but good enough. The whole assembly is held in place by 3 rubber stopper-looking things, it's kindof weird. The upper weather stripping seals to the hood though which is nice. I'll keep people updated on if I get better gas mileage. But so far it definitely feels more powerful and has a deep, rumbling tone now. It's also significantly louder.
