whats the best way to set up off camera flashes? Never done of camera flashing and wanting to get a quick guide so i dont have to do too much trial and error. Ill be using them during the day to lighten up the shadows and darker sides of cars and maybe inside studios or garages.

Im summary, expose for the background, fill in with flash. The positioning is up to what you want to get in the terms of lighting.

If you rummage through my Facebook/Flickr, you can see how I played with off camera flash with people. I've tried it with my car but, I don't have a light stand or soft box which, made the shots looks sub par. I do intend on getting a stand and soft box soon though.

my photo's will never be as high quality as everyone elses on here. but can I get an opinion on these? I edited them, but I don't know if I'm doing a good job

I'd say second picture is the best! The other two have some underexposed portions of the car!


Also has anybody done large prints? I'm trying to get a good happy medium pricing structure on 16x20 and 20x30
