Mud Flaps (splash guards)

Hey there,
I ordered the mud flap splash guards from Ford accessories Part No: F6AZ-16A550-AA . I ordered 2 sets because I want to put them behind all four wheels. It says for front of rear use but also says front only. I already ordered all four.

Is it possible to equip all 4 mud flaps?

Also, is it possible to equip a molded splash guard AND a mud flap on the same place?

I have the ford ones on my 2012 and they are front and rear specific, and sedan and hatch specific. I ordered mine from here. I don't think I would double up on flaps and guards, all you need are the molded ones.

The front and rear splash guards are different. You can't use the front for the back or the back for the front.

These are the rear for the sedan;

Note that the front fits BOTH the sedan and hatch, the rear are different for the sedan or hatch.

I do not know why you want to put molded splash guards AND mud flaps...makes no sense to have both and would look horrible even if it was possible, which I don't believe it is, without some modification.

It is odd it only says for the front...because they do not offer any rear in that style with a different part #...

I am not sure if they will fit in the rear without modification, because the mounting points of splash guards I posted earlier ARE different for the front and rear. You cannot put the front on the rear because the holes will not line up, and vise versa for the rear.

Edit: Taking a look at partscheap.com it seems like they are not carrying as many items as they used too. I bet in the past they did carry the rear mudflaps, but for some reason now they are not.

yes those are the parts (I ordered 2 sets). So you are saying that you are not sure, correct? I did already order from Ford, but the order is still pending. I wish I had ordered from parts cheap, would have saved a bunch...

Anyways, should I just let the order go through and see if it works? It would be stupid if it didn't work. Again, I'm not getting the molded guards, just the flat mud flaps.

The front splash guards fit both the sedan and hatchback models.

These splash guards fit the rear wheels of the 5 door hatchback .

You can't use both since I don't know how that would work but from what I can tell just stick with the flat ones you bought and be done with it.

Yeah, i'm using flat mud flaps ONLY. The question is: will they equip to the rear, or only in front? thanks
