crank is good to around 700whp. go ahead and get some big injectors. 60lb/hr injectors will get you just about whatever you want and they dont cost much more than any other slightly larger than factory injector. the stock fuel system can get you to around 300whp. stock bottom end can hold about 250whp. add a kenny bell boost-a-pump and you can push the stock fuel system to about 350whp. after that and you have to go to a return style fuel system. after that the only limitations to how much power you can make are limited to how much boost you can throw at it and whether or not the clutch you are running can take it.

Not trying to hate...... But you're going to put 5,000USD into a 3,500lbs car that worth 1,500USD to daily drive it, at 20psi? Actually probably more then 5,000USD....? Also putting a new clutch in it every few years if not less since it's a DD?

Yeah you hit the nail right on the head I'm not looking to flip this car in a year I'm looking to have a lot of fun with it I wouldn't put 12000USD into a 2002 neon but my friend did and he loves it its worth about 3000 but he wouldn't sell it for 30000 I'm not offended by your comment at all I love cars its a hobby I have 10000 into a car I paid $250 for and I think was worth every penny.

2800 with driver and miscellaneous crap lol

1 sec and i will link you to a thread i started a few months ago for my own build and it should answer just about every question you have when it comes to building a zetec to make 400whp. you will NOT like daily driving a focus at that power level with a manual trans. at that power level the clutch starts to get really tough to use because there is very little slip to the clutch on takeoff. also when you start getting into that power range you will be replacing the clutch every 15000-25000 miles depending on power level and how you use the clutch. if you want to daily drive the car you could get an ATX built by lentech. it costs about 3 grand but is worth it because you cant pop them even at 735whp and you can still drive the car down the road to get groceries with grandma in the passenger seat and its just as mellow as you please.

let me find you some links...

http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296092

that is a link to my information gathering build thread.

http://www.lentechautomatics.com/4f27eproducts.html#

that is a link to lentech's website with transmissions. apologies about my incorrect estimate on how much power the trans can take. obviously the one that tom ran on his 735whp drag car had some additional mods to hold the power. the toughest one on the lentech site is rated at 500whp.

oh yeah and an ATX on a high hp boosted engine will be faster than a MTX as well. you dont loose boost between gears.

Buy rudel's focus power turbo kit, its in the classifieds. that would be a good place to start. I think topspeed is selling their stage 5 kit on ff or fj, if you just want to get the huge power in one package.
