I'm in the UK, and HID headlamps are 686.40 each without bulbs or ballasts, so I'll guess that will be the same on the European Parts website.
Ballasts are 180.98 each and HID bulbs are 145.68 each.
I doubt they will be plug and play in a car with standard halogen lighting.

They claim to be selling the entire conversion kit with the o.e. housings per those pictures. Of course if you subtract out the 19% vat they are listed at 1099 Eur plus shipping, so I'm not exactly sure what they come with.

Some one else said that the wire harness was supposedly plug and play over there to the U.S. model, but until proven otherwise that's a large financial expense just to try it.

As of today that was around $1544.89 usd with the DHL air mail shipped here, but unless they were plug and play and came with the bulbs and ballasts its still not exactly ready to go.

The cheapest price I've seen on Tousley for the complete aluminum hid assemblies was $1,425.46 usd each via their store on fordparts.com

They are more expensive than the aftermarket units, but they don't look as far out of place to my eyes.

LED strips belong on Audis, and halos on BMWs, otherwise it just looks sort of silly to me personally.

Thanks.

With that said, we're still in the price range.

Everyone continues to associate the word "cheap" with this product which, apart from having hands on them, is unfounded and biased. Chinese products don't necessarily equal cheap, although I understand the stigma.

We've been begging for aftermarket products for the MK3 and now that we're starting to get some there are those that want to decry "cheap." Let's slow down until we know for sure.

Baby steps...baby steps. At least the Chinese are starting the necessary move to get some aftermarket support.
I agree wholeheartedly. It's foolish to scream (and we have been screaming) for aftermarket support and then immediately declare products crap before even geting reviews or even seeing them in person.

They are on just about half of fords car in on trim or another and really accent the cars. I also like that Ford is using solid strips instead of beaded bulbs on audis, Chryslers, etc.

There is a difference between LED strips instead of the fog lamps, but to put them in the headlamps they look cheesy to me. Now if you guys like it then that's really all that matters to you, but I'd rather save my money.

I just wish they had DRLs. But if I do end up opening them to add DRLs, you better believe they're going to get HID projectors too. Though, I'll probably just rig up a PWM circuit to use my brights @40% power as DRLs.

I had a car driving behind and to the left of me and I thought "Why are this guy's lights so darn bright?" Turned out it was just an SE focus.
