So mote be it

Well compared to the regular model focus, yes they are rare...I want to say they could be optioned out around $20k new in 2005 where as a base model was closer to 14-15k. So that deterred some folks from getting them, 20k for a focus in 2005 was expensive for what they were

I think I see more STs for sale than SVTs, which would make sense since they're newer and there are likely to be more still on the road. Here's the only two I could find within 200 miles of Quincy: http://quadcities.craigslist.org/cto/3435378183.html cars.com web addresses are too damn long

While helping my son look for a car, I saw a number of them for sale last summer in the Chicago area. All very low mileage. I'm guessing they were what dealers call "lot queens" - they sat forever on the lot because they are manual transmission only. They were a little pricey for a student/first car but would otherwise be an awesome pick for a fun used car.
And yes they were expensive when new. During that time Ford had numerous fire sales on Taurus' so you could buy a loaded mid line Taurus for less money. And nobody wanted a car with a stick. Bob |

I've had my 2005 ST for 8 years. I love this car to death. But at 157,000 miles it is time to move on. the only thing beyond normal maintenace was one alternator replacement. It is a FUN car that is comfortable and quick. My 2013 focus ST will no doubt put my old car to shame and I will love the new one more... but I will always miss my 2005 ST.

I live in a tiny little town, and there are 4 here. 3 with SAP. Ha. And I know each of the owners. Probably a total of 7 or 8 seen total though throughout my focus years.
