Funny smell at hard acceleration or high speed

Hey all,

I was passing a car on the highway and got to a higher speed via quick acceleration. Afterwards I noticed a smell, not exactly like a burning oil smell, but definitely mechanical. I have noticed a few times before and I usually don't get to the speed I was at. Car was well warmed up. I am at 6943 miles.

Any thoughts or am I just being over analyzing?

Probably still some of the new part smell burning off as mine still smells a little (6200 miles) when driven hard.

I still smell it at 25k miles
