that would be awesome to have a new truck made in a 50's style. Would be a decent amount bigger if built off the half ton truck now, but on something like a colorado or ranger platform would work well. I've always loved the rolled beds from the old trucks and step up hoods with fender mounted headlights. new technology with classic design!

To fit a modern half ton they could be based off a 1 or 2 ton truck from back in the day. Or it could all just be proportionally enlarged to today's size. It would be after all an "inspired by" style.

I gotta say, considering Volvo's current owners, I'm not too sure I'd be in a big hurry to get one (of any model). Not sure how being owned by Geely can possibly improve the marque. I think time will tell.

Anyone notice the obvious exposed screwheads just above the instrument panel?

I'm not a big fan of the rear of it but the rest looks pretty good. I'm really liking the interior.

Its based on an evolution of the C1 platform that underpinned the MK2 European Focus, not the MK3.

The MK3 USDM Focus is the mid cycle action on the C1 platform MK2 European Focus, and is finally global again.
