satellite antenna mount location?

I ran it by tucking it along the passenger side rain gutter strip. (the black rubber piece and the tucked into the crevice between the front windshield and the brought mine back inside through the front passenger side door.

I did that for the wife's old 2006 Ford Focus SE and my current 2007 Ford Focus SE.

I ended up just biting the bullet and doing it the hard way. It actually wasn't that hard. I just ran it under the weather striping on the hatch and then under the top edge of the plastic all the way to the front and then down the a-pillar, etc.

Ran the cable through the pillar and head liner following the factory antenna. I put a SMALL notch in the base of the antenna mount as to not cut the cable of the Sirius antenna.

This is what I will be doing when I get the XM pulled out of my pickup and throw it in the focus. Glad someone else has done it.

Where did you get that black wire cover from? Did it come with your antenna?

I think it depends on the kit you get, but my original kit came with one of those.

Pretty good with sound systems and all that stuff...but if you butted that sat antenna right up next to the radio antenna base would that cause any interference of any kind? I wouldn't imagine that it would, but you never know.

Ya, it came with it. I THINK I have an extra one on a shelf.



Not sure why it would cause any interference, but at the very bottom of mine there is a little bump so it can't get too close .

I'm not sure why either and I don't think it would/could at all, just a random thought that popped into my head while I was typing that post.
