So with the holiday it's pushed all of fords orders back, hoping to see the mirror tomorrow. $150 For the mirror is pretty cheap, my Cost is just a tab less.

Deftmetal- you beat me to it lol, only difference in mine is that I don't have hex bolts, mine are torx instead.

I wanted to tap into the puddle light circuit but I didn't find which wire it was. I don't have puddles just signal. Now it'll have to wait a week until I'm back home to add puddle lights, I want different than factory ones

Ok, got my eBay RH mirror installed today and it has heat and a puddle lamp. My car already has the signals so I knew that would work. What I know isn't working is the puddle lamp, even though the wiring and fuse appear to be already installed. That was earlier today after FedEx dropped my package off. I will have to get back to you on the heated portion as right now I'm typing this lying in bed with a nasty flu bug.

BTW: The mirror caps come off fairly easy after pulling the glass and disengaging the two retention clips. They're easy to spot at the top of the housing behind the mirror glass.

dumb question, but it did come with a bulb for the puddle lamp right?

Never a dumb question but yes, has a bulb installed. I guess I'm gonna need help finding a schematic for the puddle lamps.

I wonder though if it is a schematic thing or a module programming issue. Anyone get a chance to try the mirrors and see if they heat up?

You know, that thought did cross my mind. I have a friend with a new Camaro who installed fog lights but they didn't work until he had the dealer program them into the cars control module. I wonder how much the dealer would charge for such a thing?

Maybe another dumb suggestion, using the computer menu, under settings: Lighting: rain light (is it checked off?)

Rain light turns the headlamps on with the wipers when they are on the low speed or high speed setting, that has nothing to do with the puddle lamps.

Here's the verdict. I was able to get myself out of bed to test for voltage at the two leads on the back of the mirror glass. There is NO VOLTAGE present with either rear defrost or the MAX defrost enabled. We do have the necessary wiring to the plug in the door up to the mirror housing and also the fuse is installed in the under hood fuse panel. It either has to be enabled by your Ford dealer,(like Bigbot45 suggested) or I'm missing something entirely by not having a wiring schematic in front of me.
