LOL! any car loses its value hard. if you were trading a Civic (among the top selling compacts), you would still get diddly just because there are so many. Additionally top of the line trims always lose value harder. But if it makes you feel better bash Ford all you want

My brother got a 2008 Honda Fit for 21500 OTD. In 2011 he tried to trade it in and was offered 8000 by Honda. He sold it himself for 13500.

If you are not in a rush sell the car yourself.

I'm not hating Ford because of the resell value. Don't get me wrong, the lack of reliability and customer service *has* driven down the resell value of the car...but I dislike Ford for those reasons, not the symptom of them.

I ended up getting $16k for the car. Traded it in today for a 2013 Accord Sport. Vastly superior car for $3k less than I paid for the Focus (sticker to sticker). The interior feels *solid* and well-made, there are no rattles at all, the infotainment system actually works without issues, and the 6-speed manual is one of the best transmissions I've ever driven...including most race-ready cars. I used to be in the racing world and have driven hundreds of different manual cars...the clutch and transmission in this thing are fantastic and match any of the best cars I've had out.

Either way, it was really great being on this board. I'll still be filing complaints with various agencies about the lack of customer support I received from Ford, but I'm glad to finally be in another stable. Plus, this car looks *good*:

Ha ya. Ganley is a dealership conglomeration that sells Ford, Chevy, Honda, Subaru, BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, and a few others. All of the dealers have the ability to sell all of the various cars.

What did you do with the Sparcos, or the set not on the vehicle?

I still have the Sparcos. The tires that are on them are the summer performance tires that came with the car (Michelin Pilot P3s or something). I'll probably sell them, just haven't planned it yet.

Glad to see your feedback on the Accord Sport. I'm very hopeful that I'll be able to make the same move!

It was 30,355 at the dealership. The first 6 months I had like 16k mileage, and then another 14k over the next year. It was rough.

Chances are u won't even get inn for your trade sorry to say I just traded my se in last week kbb said I should get 13k for trade only got 10k on a 2012 focus SE with 5000 miles on it and looked like the day I bought it. I traded for a 2013 titanium with handling package and nav. Ford is giving very impressive rebates on 2013 non-st focuses I got right at $4000 between X-plan and Ford rebates my sticker was 26k -4k =22k that is just to close to the 20k u want most people are going to just buy a new one for 2k more. Plus the dealer has to be able to make money off ur trade 20k leaves no room for profit. U are very lucky if u get kbb for ur car. Try looking up the black book value which is what the dealers use and will very rarely pay more than the black book value.
