Cracked spoke

So i have a set fo team dynamic pro race 1 and i got out of my car and i noticed something on one of the spokes... got a closer look and it is cracked all the around of the the spokes... i know this is not good at all but howbad is it? pro race 1 are discontinued rims and were hard to find anywhere...

mostly going to order a set of rims to replace them while they get fixed... :(

not the christmas bill i was looking for.


any ideas besides taking it to a shop? and is it ok to drive on for say 2 weeks while i wait on rims?

and its on the front driver side atm would it be better to stick it in the bck?

there is a guy on fj selling a set of 17x7 pro race1's.. he's probably not interested in selling a single rim but if you like the wheels, you could buy the set and keep the rest as back ups (assuming they are the same as yours.) he's asking $400 and is located in VA.

Stop driving the car now and replace all four wheels.

It must be a pretty good size crack if you noticed it just getting out of the car. If those are the wheels I think they are, the spokes are smallish.

I would definitely not recommend driving on those wheels any more, I've seen too many wheel horror stories, stay safe my friend.

I had a similar problem this past spring with my Rota Slip Streams. Contacted wheel repair shops and they all told me that the wheel was totaled and unsafe to drive on. Take the wheel off your car ASAP and find either a replacement or a new set.

Consider that wheel a piece of scrap metal at this point.
If it is still on your car, it's a ticking time bomb.

i will have to changeit out when i get home... should i switch the back rims to front and run stocks in the back? i know this is pretty awful looking but i have a set of snowflakes but there pretty much shot but i need some traction up in ri for when it does snow

have a new set of rims on the way hope they get here soon!!!

Yea definitely put the good tires in the front. post of pics of the new wheels when they get here!

Main thing is get wheel changed as quick as possible. Not only can you get hurt but if you hurt someone else their lawyer will tear you up in court. This can easily be one of those 'career decisions' spoke of so much. Your future quality of life vs. driving a bit more on bad wheel.

after i get it home tonight i am going to park it... swap my back rims to the front and then rock my stocker on the back... gonna be trashy till my new rims comes but rather be safe
