Heated steering wheel swap possible?
Is it possible to take a steering wheel out of a different model of ford and install it in the focus.

If you want to throw lots of money at it, it might. However without knowing off hand if it would even bolt up to the steering shaft let alone activate any of the other sync/ cruise modules properly before even being able to consider trying to wire in the heater element it would seem that it would be simpler to add a heater pad/ mat to the current steering wheel and wire in a switch rather than trying to swap wheels.

yea its not the 90's anymore there are a lot of electronics built in you may have to sacrifice, including the airbag which I doubt is plug and play

Put the heat on vent and aim both driver's vents at the wheel. That will be the closest you will get to a heated steering wheel in these cars.

My leather-wrapped steering wheel sure looks nice but damn does it retain the cold! So I purchased a cheap ass cover from amazon and see how it goes.

Get those warming packs and throw them in gloves and voila! Same thing. Or, if you have heated seats, sit on one hand for a bit and alternate. Boom!
