What is the latest version of sync for the 2012 Focus w/ Myford (not MFT)?

I received confirmation that my car's version of myford 3.1.1 is the latest version for my car. Since it is clear that there are newer versions of the myford os out in later production models of the ff, is it true that myford equipped cars will be the equivalent of "Android"?: There will be multiple versions of the os released without any plans to make older build date cars updated with the latest os?

That's correct, recyclebin, running a Vehicle Health Report will report the latest software. Otherwise, you can run the SYNC Status Checker to confirm which version is installed:

Our engineers are always working on updates, valmundo, but I can't speculate on timing or availability. As updates are released, announcements will be made here:

I ran a VHR on my 2013 Focus SE and I don't see any reference to the SYNC version. Syncmyride says I have V4.1.2.F but I don't know where that info comes from. I don't like to do the status checker since it requires me to install Java and I stay clear of that mess as far as possible. Is V4.1.2F the current version for my model?

I also have a 2012 Ford Focus with the Sync system but not the touch screen. My boyfriend just got a 2013 F-150 and it has the Sync also without the touch screen and his has a lot more features. I don't understand why they can't update our systems to the same one that the 2013s have :/
