Eibach Pro Kit vs Sportlines MY12
My plan for this summer is to get new springs and new wheels/tire.
It is of course a DD and i will take it to autocross a few times and i am a spirited driver. So thus i contemplate if sportlines would be best because they will provide more aggressive handling but will be a harsher ride. Or pro kit because it is an improvement and will retain a better ride quality but lack in overall performance. Second thought is the appearance, do the sportlines make it look strange for being so low? Pro Kit http://performance-suspension.eibach...us_pro-kit.pdf ![]() ![]() Sportline http://performance-suspension.eibach..._sportline.pdf ![]() ![]() And my idea of what i would like to do

Hard to say since you have a 2012. Normally the sportlines while being a 2" drop are not very aggressive at all on the earlier year models. Most actually say they are soft for a 2" drop. Good for dd but not that great for autox. Of course they will probably handle better than stock but they will not handle as well as say H & R's which are a more aggressive rate spring.

I've heard the sport's are to soft for autox and since they are progresive, when you hit the rate change they just stop. Not sure if they have changed anything with the 12's though, maybe a little different rates.

For occasional track days, the sportline is not ideal, but it will give you more control of the vehicle and is better than stock. They are right, something like the H&R Super Sport or the Race spring is better for track, but it will greatly decrease ride quality. It's a little over kill for a daily driver with occasional track days if you ask me.

I guess i'll see about going for some rides with friends and see how there cars ride with springs/coilovers and decide if i can live with a harsher ride. |

FYI, Pro kit springs are stiffer than the Sportlines. So, if you're looking for AutoX performance, the Pro Kits are the way to go. I'd also recommend either Eibach's or Steeda's 25mm rear sway bar.

I voted PK because that's what I have. BUT, for your ride height you desire, it seems you want the SLK hands down.
Now Zillion made an AWESOME comparison find! I am actually quite happier now that I now the PK springs start higher than the SLK springs.

I like the Sportline system. If I wanted more low, I would have gone w/ H&R's Sport cup kit.

Has any one ever order from:
http://massivespeedsystem.com/ I just order my Massive OMNI-KIT Suspension Adaptor for my car. Hope this is the last thing I need for my Eibach 3588.680 Pro-System-Plus Suspension Kit. I was so happy to get it than I found out I will need that OMNi-KIT. |
