planning on getting new car

so i was planning on buying a newer focus maybe a 2011 and trade in the old one currently i have a 2006 focus zx4 se but i really didnt want to buy the exhaust and intake all over again so if any of u guys have the stock air box or stock exhaust or know someone plz tell me because i dont know where i left my stock parts lol

Your trading in your '06 for a '11 cause you like the newer body style or what? How many miles to you have? atx or mtx? What model? se perhaps?

The exhaust should transfer right over from what I remember reading on here. The intake I think is specific to gen but I could be wrong. Hope this helps!

^^what he said. everything under the focus is pretty much the same (from a certain point in 05-11 i think they change the exhaust area a little to accommodate the square and round mufflers). As for the intake, if it's not fswerks latest version you're going to have to buy a new one. if yo have a steeda that might work, BUT don't quote me on that one, the heat shields are different.

The exhaust is interchangeable between 00-11 and as far as the Intake u can make a bracket really easy I did install a k&n in my old 08 and the intake was for a 05 iirc

sorry guys i found an 2009 focus 2 door for 6k with 25k miles is that a good deal?

and if so would my parts fit the 09?

Sounds like a fair deal to me, low miles and a low price. I still see some 1.5gens asking more than that around here. Is there anything wrong with the car? Normally around that price point, you'd only be able to find similar years with 100k+ miles on them or some thing wrong with the car. KBB vallues the car at a low of $9k for private sale and a trade in value of $7.5k and your price is still much lower than both.


As others have hinted at, why are you wanting a new car? they normally aren't good investments but if you need/want a new car, that sounds like a solid price but as always try to negotiate a better deal

Sure. Check service on it if possible. Not a bad idea to have it inspected at a dealer to see if there are major probs. Of course, you would be paying for this inspection, but it is good to know what you are getting into. I think the 08-11 focus are perfect for what they are, a fun inexpensive car with low maintenance costs. If this 09 with just 25k is just 6k and is good, I think it is a great deal

That is a great price on an 09 with only 25k miles, it's actually the cheapest MK2 with such low miles that I have seen since I started checking these forums (Feb. 2012). That is of course if there is nothing wrong with it.
