sedan and zx3 interchangable? need help

ok so i need everything suspension all the way to the rear sub frame for my zx3. i am having trouble finding cheap parts cars in my area that are a zx3 but am noticing alot of sedans. so i was wondering if i could use one of them instead. i did some research and saw that the suspension should work but i wasnt sure about the sub frame or sway bar.

not sure why you are referring to the subframe and suspension in one breath but the suspension for the sedan will fit the zx3

yes the rear suspensions swap over, including the rear subframe. make sure the donor has the tabs for the rear swaybar on it (some didn't). Just be sure to skip any wagons as the rear is different

and if there isnt any tabs for the sway bar you can fab up your own or buy the steeda brackets

Just look for one w/ a sway bar, should be easy enough. SE, ZTS, SES,ST should come w/ the rear sway bar.

Some 07 SE's don't have the mounts on the rear crossmember for a sway bar.

Right! for 05-07 only the SES and ST models got rear sways. From what Ive seen the S and SE models dont have the tabs at all

00-04 all LX or SE models did not come with a rear sway or the attachment points. and those models most likely make up about 70% of the focus models produced in those years.
