I used q-tips soak in tb cleaner to get past the throttle plate

Q tips work well, so does a tooth brush. But ultimately removing the TB is the best way to get the throttle plate clean.

I don't remove TB, simply use an acetone soaked towel and open throttle and clean right where blade stops in bore and then front and rear edges of blade itself. Gets 99% of the job done in 2 minutes and zero cost.
