Hey, is making foglights independent as easy as the pic below shows? This looks like it's off a 1st Gen focus but I think the fuse boxes are the same..... Thoughts?

ok so i opened up the steering colum and i located the turn signal idiicator orange and white wire... i cut it... turn my car on fogs stay on while i have the high beam leaver pushed foward... buit i have no high beams... if i pull it back as to flash my high beams the projector comes on but then i lose the fogs?

what did i do wrong
help please

...... huh, that's very strange. I am not too sure at this point, as far as I knew that wire was an interrupt wire and shouldn't have done that. Short of finding a wire diagram of the stock wiring harness I am have no ideas... I suggest reattaching the wire for now...

I'm with Stax. Way too much work, labor, time, tear out, etc. Think I will simply splice into headlamp assembly. Constant illumination. Ray

Great write-up! Seems the kits have gone up in price. Cheapest on ebay right now is closer to $300. But again, very nice work on the OP.

Ouch, I think I got mine for around $200. It was a pain trying to figure it all out so I am glad the guide has been helpful.
