Unfortunately, the chain stores only carry them for engines with manual transmissions. Ford had to re-design the throttle body housing on engines with Auto trans to accomodate the new sensor because of issues with the original one. The upgraded set-up is about $350. The sensor I need replaced had minor issues around 100K mi but is on it's last legs and throwing code at 175k mi. My only hope is to find a salvaged one with some life left in it to save some $$. When it hangs I can usally free it just by stopping/ restarting the engine but my teenage daughter is inheriting the car so it needs to be safe.
