Thanks for the help everyone. I checked the air box and I definetly don't see anything removed or aftermarket. Not real sure why the part was in the trunk, weird. Anyway, its good to be back on the forum. I just bought my titanium and its extremely nice. I had a 2001 v6 Eclipse for less than six months and the transmission took a shit on me. I sold it for salvage and bought the focus same day. I owned a 2000 zx3 before the piece of shit Mitsubishi. Thanks again fellas!

You would have to take the stock air-box out of the car to determine whether this part was missing or not. It is mounted underneath the airbox and the foam ring seals it to a hole in the bottom of the airbox.

Yep, just re-installed that on my car yesterday in preparation for trade-in.

Leave it off, it sounds better.
