Accident not on carfax, Can i sell to carmax without issue?

This is what happened to my car after 4 months of ownership. 18 wheeler decided to move into my lane, luckily we were in heavy traffic. The damage has been reported to the police and it has already been repaired. Total damage $2700, new rim, new bumper and panel fixed, not replaced. I am keeping the paper work from the repair shop to show possible buyers about the damage. (I am planning on keeping the car till it dies)

To the OP. how would you feel buying a car and finding out the dealer hid $10,000 worth of damage? Say you bought a new car and after owning it six months found out your car had major repairs?
If you would be perfectly happy, and no complaints.. then go ahead and sell your car without disclosing.
The problem is they CAN come back and sue you. Just like you could sue the dealer who sold you a damaged car.
Just so you are ready to defend your deceit in court, you are OK.

If it is sold "As-Is" then the responsibility to identify problems lies with the buyer.

They will come back once you let them do the deep inspection. I sold a car to them, they asked, I said no - since it was light damage and only sanding and painting work was done along with a side view mirror.

Sure enough - they caught it with the paint gauge. I fessed up and explained it - they still were higher then the dealer was taking it in trade.

Eff carmax. Sell it to them as is. Anyone that buys a car from them is ignorant.

One of my parent's friends didn't even know her car was in an accident, and they hit her with double the car's value in damages. They'll still take it, they always have that car on display to show even a good looking car isn't always as it seems. Or they'll auction it.

Our old explorer only needed a new bumper, and instead of replacing it, they just auctioned it.
