Is the cam adjustment tool still available?
Searching, I found that the cam adjustment tool was available from Marcy Motorsports but they appear out of business. Does anyone know if there is another current source of the tool?
Or, if there is knowledge on how to make a tool, does anyone have info on this? The MM spec for a stock 2.3 cam is -4/-6 for a 6hp 5tq gain. Any idea how much retard is tolerable until contact? I'm looking at experimenting with adding some atkinson intake reversion to boost mpg so I may want to go up to -20* or so on the intake. NOTE: I know it will kill power but that's not the point of this experiment. Thanks everyone! This forum is a wealth of info! |
