I started a thread on the tire forum looking for centre caps to protect the hubs. I thought I'd pass on some of my own info. Those of you concerned about corrosion on your hubs while using steel winter wheels or any other part of the car you can freely get access to, grab yourself a can of LPS-3. Trust me, you want this stuff. It goes on like a heavy spray oil and tacks up immediately. It dries to a waxy state that even a power washer will not remove unless you have the nozzle right up against it. It will stand up to temps well below -50 celsius so winter is a non issue. I sprayed it on the hubs and around the rim itself. I've used it inside the snowblower scoop and its been there for two years worth of snow debris without fail. The stuff is fantastic!
