I'll say it sure is. Doesn't he need to plug in the xcal & then start the car & then hit data log & drive it up & down the freeway w/ a few full throttles tip in's & around town. Then take the xcal to his laptop & download the datalog & e-mail to Tom w/ it? & then Tom can look at it & make some adjustments to the tune & then Tom can e-mail it back & then he could upload the new tune to the xcal & then upload to his car. Or Tom could have him hook up his xcal to the car & then plug the xcal to his laptop & Tom could make adjustment that way. Is this how it works or goes?

nah, the way he and I do it, is hook up the firewire to the wideband, then plug that into the xcal, then plug the xcal into the car. then plug the xcal nito the laptop. open the sct livewire program, open livelink loglist. have tom configure what things he wants you to log. save the loglist. so you wont have to do that everytim. then set the analog equations wich is in the analog menu, you just select wich wideband you have. hit apply. turn the key to the on position. click the green button to start datalogging. wait for the gages to start moving on the computer, then start the car. then do whatever kind of driving tom asked you to do in the first place

I can make the process much easier for you if you allow me to help , I can take over your laptop , the only thing you would have to do is go to www.teamviewer.com join and they will give you a 9 digit # and a password.

Then I can take over, I can download and install the updater, the livelink 6.5, I can load the tune to the xcal for you, I can set up the datalog list and do the first data log like I was sitting in the car with you showing you how to use everything why we are doing it.

You would have to plug the flasher into the OBDII port and load the tune to the car which is very easy (SVT pulls fuses 46 / 61 ).

Yes you may have to set a time up to log or call me and see if I can do it at that time , most cases I can, times after 5:00 I still work but I do have a life also and there are times that I cannot do things after 6:00 but almost all day Sat I am working with my customers and most evenings.

Tom

Yeah, and it's not the money, it's the customer support, and thanks Tom for putting up with some of our ineptitude and still providing your service to the community.

I hope he works it out with you too so that everyone can be happy in the end. The thread sort of ended up being aptly named though.... now everyone knows what sort of support they will get.
