Which issue are you referring to? The only true design issue I'm aware of is minor contact of the MAF housing with the heat shield. Installing the filter too tight or too loose is simply user error, IMO.

Having to perfectly tighten the filter to the MAF housing or risk the filter falling off or cracking the housing. I'm not willing to call the problem user error from what I've read on this forum.

I own one and I'm willing to call it user error. In my experience it's not as finicky as you seem to believe. The resulting data of your poll seems to agree with my standpoint. Two out of 14 of your respondents said they had issues, and only one of them was due to over-tightening the filter on the MAF housing.

Obviously, it's your decision to make. But keep in mind that discussion on forums very much highlight the negative experiences, rather than the positive ones.

Wow...it's been awhile since I've posted on here. Looking at about 10K miles (at least) with the intake on. Have only cracked the MAF housing that one time, and it was definitely my fault for overtightening the filter. No problems since then.

Damn I'm disappointed that the ST is out and everyone bailed on our cars....

I honestly believe that the aftermarket support for the ST line (Focus and Fiesta) will be HUGE - These cars were at SEMA in full force, we just need to get our hands on a few of them .

By the way... Why no Focus ST Wagon Ford????

Because they didn't bother designing or certifying the wagon body shell in the first place.

I'd have had to think long and hard about the wagon vs the hatch had it been available.

Has anyone incuding K&N dynoed or noticed any MPG increases with with the kit, or with the drop in filter? I just bought my 2013 on friday. Im not worried about sound, actually the quieter the better. Since its my DD, Im looking for a little more power of better economy when I replace the ford one. Not really looking to buy one soley on the butt dyno

Anyone have an update on this? I'm pretty sold on this intake, however I wanted to make sure mileage doesn't tank. Does it hurt mileage?

I haven't ever seen a mileage loss... Other than the one caused by my right foot cause I want to hear the intake suck in the air and my exhaust roar!
