For copper o-ring as a head gasket, the machine shop will cut the block to allow for the copper o-ring to be insterded but when it's cold out copper will leak. Also it can work great or give you issues. The head gasket that I'm using is a mls cometic head gasket. As of right now the CP pistons and head gasket will take about a month to make. This is the busy time for both company's. |

I used to use piano wire of the appropriate size on my big-block Mopar. A biatch to form around the receiver groove, but it won't leak.
I'm using Cometic on my V-8 race car. This is an application where the time tested way around really high compression (13.2:1+) was to install an extra head bolt. Cometic does the job without this hassle. |

I would never use a copper head gasket on anything , Yes o-rings are a pain but back in the day a necessary have to especially with Nitrous
Neither are needed on any of the Focus Engines Tom
