I just set each headlight on the rack in the oven. One at a time. I had some condensation because I didn't evenly place the new adhesive in one spot correctly. So I just corrected it and reheated to reseal it and its fine now.

I used Krylon Fusion For Plastic-Stain Black. You can get it at Wal-Mart
http://www.amazon.com/Krylon-2421-Fu.../dp/B000C0158E
I got nervous and stopped doing mine. The glue would not soften or seperate after eight tries in the oven at 280 for 8-10 mins.

Awesome. I'm going to wait for some aftermarket projector headlights, because I don't trust myself doing an operation like that. In the mean time, I've ordered some Philips Night Breaker Plus H11 bulbs, which are supposed to be brighter than the factory bulbs. Will let y'all know how they work!

Available on eBay for as little as $80 each.

Looks awesome. Seems like the aftermarket is lagging behind on just about everything for the MK3 Focus.

To clarify:

The Morimoto Standalone CAN bus harnesses did nothing for your car? I just did this myself, but am having major feedback issues with the car telling me I have a bulb out, and even after using a relay harness I am still having major issues with the headlights flickering or not firing at all when I turn them on. I was hoping the CAN harnesses from TRS would eliminate my issues, considering they have the necessary resistor and capacitor to allow the headlights to function as normal.

Anyone else tried them? I do not want to order them before I know it will fix my issues.

No, they do not work.

You will need resistor harnesses to get rid of your error. They can be found on ebay or various other distributors.

Please consult the 2012 HID Thread for complete info on the subject.
