You need a flasher , tuner , tuner needs the software to make the changes to make it a custom tune off the base tune he first sent you

PK at SCT does not make the decisions or does he have final decisions on what SCT is going to be doing , keep the faith for a bit , I cannot get a straight answer either

Tom
Right, we just want the tools to be able to have a tune made. We have offered to give them cars for testing. They just won't give us an answer, if they are not going to do it, just say so and we can go find somebody else, or if they are willing to what do we need to do, do they want preorders? cars? money? I would do almost anything that they could want if they would work on it.

Tom, no one here wants a canned off the shelf tune (unless we're talking a nice AP2 with a good Cobb tune built in), but want the tools so you and so many other tuners can help us... Because it seems like no one, including yourself, is cracking the ECU without SCT or an equivalent.

Noob tuning question... Why do we have to wait for SCT? Do you have the ability to tune without them Tom?

Maybe it was wheel hopping bad. I know my car doesn't make that kind of power but I think it's faster 0-60. Obviously there's some factor causing that.

The article is wrong, Europe with the exception of eastern Europe i.e. Russia do not get the 2.0L Ti-VCT, those sound more like the numbers for the 2.0L i4 TDCI turbo diesel which would be heavier than the 2.0L NA Ti-VCT i4.

From Loder's price list:

Quote:
Motormanagement
1,6 TDCI Serie 70 kW (95PS) 230 Nm Loder1899 90 kW (122 PS) 270 Nm
2,0 TDCI Serie 85 kW (115PS) 300 Nm Loder1899 107 kW (145 PS) 360 Nm
2,0 TDCI Serie 103 kW (140PS) 320 Nm Loder1899 123 kW (167 PS) 380 Nm
2,0 TDCI Serie 120 kW (163PS) 340 Nm Loder1899 140 kW (190 PS) 390 Nm
Leistungsunterschiede je nach Eingangsleistung. Luftdruck und Außentemperatur möglich! Differences in performance due to base performance, air pressure and temperature possible!

I just find it funny how people think talking down to a company will force them to work harder and offer support.

Who here has tried to crack any ECU code W/O standard software (SCT, Cobb, Diablo ...)?

Can you disassemble code W/O knowing what assembler was used or what native language it's in?

What kind of market share do you think the Focus represents vs say a Mustang?
Do you see then why the Focus isn't a high priority?

In a nutshell, yes, but in the numbers game, it's more profitable to sell to the n/a crowd before the st crowd. There's just a much larger population here.
