It is pretty ridiculous. Why do tuning software for such a small customer base, when you could do it for something as large as owners of n/a 2012+ Focus. Hell, there's 2 of them in my immediate family alone. Wise up companies. If you want to make money, it's waiting for you!

I think the only reason they make tuners for those models over the focus is because of ecoboost availability. Not like that makes it any better lol

They had SCT support before Ecoboost was available... I could get a tuner for my 2007 Edge which only had one engine option, the 3.5 V6.

Check out Evolution Performance and Steeda. You will see they offer tuners for these more family oriented models.

Makes no sense.

Ah. Well then that definitely doesn't make sense. I don't get why they wont give is a straight answer. I'd rather them tell us they have no plans to even try to make a tuner than have them keep giving vague answers like they are.

I'm guessing they don't know if they'll be able to figure it out or not, so they don't want to commit either way...

FWIW, I just sent an email to Superchips in the UK. They only offer a tuner for the ST at this time, but maybe they have plans they'd be willing to share. I'll post when/if I hear back from them.

They need to do something. I hate not being able to mod my car.

Be aware that the Ford 3.5 Duratec/Cyclone engines were available in Flex, Edge, Five Hundred, Taurus, Explorer, Fusion, Milan, Sable, Montego, Zephyr, MKZ, & MKX models.

The 2.0 TiVCT is only available in the Focus.
The previous 2.0 Duratec was only available in the Focus and Transit Connect

I don't see how anyone could say "it doesn't make sense" that SCT doesn't tune for the 2.0.

You have to understand, in order for a company to make money, there has to be a market. The number of people who want to tune their 2012+ 2.0 Focus is actually very very very small and very likely limited to the members of this site. If SCT doesn't see that as a viable market, they won't put R&D into tuning the N/A Focus.

Plus, the chances that Ford even KEEPS the N/A engine are decreasing with every new model that offers EcoBoost. There's a really good chance that the current 2.0 will be short lived and replaced by a turbo 1.6 (Assuming of course that Ford figures out a way to keep the 1.6t from spontaneously combusting)

I'll turn that around on you... How does the ST make business sense then using that logic? Engine use is still limited especially with the transmission combo... Then the sheer volume of the ST comes into play...
