Thumbs down Rattle coming from under glove compartment . McAlpine ford says its normal...

I have this very annoying rattle coming from under the glove compartment the dealer says its normal. I'm very frustrated.

I made a video of it. McAlpine ford says its "normal"

Yeah, that's not normal.

Is the noise independent of the fan speed setting on the blower?

No ford doesn't suck just the dealership. I have one of those here, second to worse dealership in the area.

Yes. It stops if I push the glove compartment up really hard.

Yep I got the worse in Ontario. They think their clients are dumb.

See if you can pinpoint the spot the noise is coming from and apply some felt tape to the area.

Should be able to buy it at Lowes, Home Depot, or whatever you Canadians have for hardware stores up yonder.

I've got a similar noise coming from that area, but it only occurs right at 1200 rpm, so I hear it loud and clear right after startup when the high idle is winding down. A well-placed fist strike on the dash panel right by the passenger a-pillar stops it...until the next time I do a cold start.

I can't find the spot, seams to be coming from behind the glove compartment. It's very annoying.

Mine started like that now is getting more frequent. Very annoying, my car is a month old.
