I wonder...
Is it possible to put a subwoofer in the rear hatch of my 00' Wagon? I've been thinking of putting either a 8 or a 10 in there, and putting an amp under one of the seats, and upgrading my head unit (stock one is about toast) and keeping my factory speakers unless some one makes quality dual-cone/full range ones. I hate coaxial speakers.
Anyway if it's possible then Im all ears Thanks, Patrick! ![]() |

You can put a sub in it for sure.
There are many good quality convertable comps(looks like a coax)out there. What is your budget?

I think you meant you hate component speakers?
Coaxial speakers are what you've already got. And yes you absolutely can install a subwoofer. It's one of the easiest things you can do to improve the sound from your car's media player. Freemind has it right, you need to know your budget before hand so you can make decisions accordingly. The last thing you want to do with car audio is buy one expensive piece and pair it up with el-cheapo hardware.

No I just have the basic dual cone 6x8's in the doors now. I got everything Ill ever need all ready. So I'm set there. So what do I need to install it in the rear hatch door? |

To do a Hatch install A.k.A attaching to the hatch, you will need good fiberglassing skills, stronger lift gate shocks ,and a clean way to route wiring

I see. Im also thinking of instead of putting it in the rear hatch just going ahead with installing it in the side of the cargo area or maybe in the spare tire compartment. Decisions, decisions

You will not be needing that Cap.
Do you have an enclosure? 4ga. power and ground wire? RCA's? Can you post or, send me pics of said subs front and back?
