So your dealer is lazy. Just like Roy OBrien Ford was lazy when I called them. In fact the guy said "that doesn't even resemble a Ford part number" and was quite the... well, I am done with 9 Mile and Mack.
And if you want to stay local check out Gorno ford in woodhaven and ask for Marty Gorno! He sold me my car and is a great guy! He will go above and beyond the call! Toss him my name too!!

Just called my local dealer and was quoted $27 and it is backordered with no ETA. They are going to check Monday and see if they can get more details...

Correct, it is a 2013 part that will fit 2012 cars that have the cup holders left and right of one another. If you have cup holders that are one infront of the other, it will NOT fit.

I am in IL and Steve is not. Is that a problem?
